I arrived home Friday and my keyboard finally had arrived! I spent friday night setting it up and playing around on the keys. It came just in time. My lesson was Saturday afternoon, and I hadn’t been able to practice at all. The lesson went alright. I’m definitely out of my comfort zone but it’s good for me and I am excited about the prospect that I’ll get better at this!
Saturday it rained all day, so I was inside for the most part. It was nice to relax all day. I watched some the Georgetown game etc. I made myself take a 35 minute run on the treadmill. It was good and I was happy to be ‘moving’ despite the weather. Saturday night I cooked myself some tacos while jamming to the Happy Feet Soundtrack. It’s always a party for 1 in apt 2003!
I also managed to finish my latest book, The Tender Bar. It was really good and I recommend it to the book-club girls back home in case you’re in seach for something else to read. I’ve moved on to Alabama Moon. I picked it up in the ‘Discover New Authors’ section at B&N. I’ll let you know how it goes.
Sunday I couldn’t sleep past 8am, so I got up and went to church, went grocery shopping and such. It wasn’t raining, so I decided to take my 3.5mile run for the day outside. Of course by the time I hit the street the rain had started again. The run was great, however I’ve learned that no matter where you run in Vancouver, it’s most likely going to be uphill. Good thing I’m going to yoga tonight!
