Getting Ready – Preliminary Info

By kcringoli

I figured with the Vancouver move quickly approaching I would start a blog (oh boy) to help keep in touch with everyone and let people know what I was up to while north of the border.

My plane reservations have finally been made, and I will by flying from JFK on Tuesday January 16th to Vancouver (YVR).  The flight is early – 7:30am – but I will arrive in Vancouver at 10:40am local time.  I’ll have most of the day to get to my new apartment and settle in.  Then the fun begins.  There are still some issues regarding my work visa to iron out, and I’ll have to wait around and usher my car and personal effects through customs on the Canadian side.  Once that’s done, I’ll be good to go.

My address in Vancouver will be:
1200 W. Georgia St.
Apt 2003
Vancouver, BC V6E4R3

However you can send anything to my NJ address and the lovely USPS will forward any mail onto BC for me.  I’m also working on alternate phone options, and I’ll update everyone as soon as I have a new number.

Why are you becoming Canadian? Your love of their peaceful ways, “bacon” (we all know it is ham), and maple syrup? Can America do anything to entice you back? This is ourrrrrr country after all. (Thanks John Mellencamp, you scared away Karen)
